Position: Purchase Ledger Clerk

Reporting To: Accounts Manager

Department: Accounts

Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. (Mon-Fri)

 

Job Summary

As part of the finance team your key task will include:

  • Ensuring that all supplier invoices, cheque requisitions and all other queries related to payments is processed in accordance with procedure accurately and to deadline
  • To assist with preparation of month end accounts
  • Maintain an accurate Purchase Order system
  • Handle and reconcile Petty cash float
  • Be fully responsible of purchasing & ordering general stationery items
  • Do monthly supplier statement reconciliation
  • Ensure that recharge items are correctly handled with suppliers
  • To provide support to other members of the team
  • All other related duties

Skills and experience required to perform the role:

  • Written and verbal communications with both internal and external contacts including senior members of the organisation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Very strong time management and organisational ability
  • Fluent English
  • To plan the daily work load accordingly
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Knowledge of the Hotel industry (beneficial but not essential)
