Maintenance Supervisor

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Supervisor who will be responsible for coordinating all general repairs and maintenance of the premises and equipment and liaise with all departments to ensure that the premises and equipment are kept in good working order.


Reporting directly to the Hotel Manager, you will be responsible for 3 Maintenance assistants and any contractors. Duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Implement a system of planned maintenance.
  • Ensure that all projects are defined and coordinated.
  • Coordinate general maintenance and repairs with other departments.
  • Maintain effective scheduling of departmental staffing to ensure optimised maintenance cover for the business.
  • Ensure all health and safety requirements are complied with.
  • Ensure all standard operating procedures of the department is kept updated and all maintenance staff understands and adheres to these procedures and safety standard.
  • Research and report on the feasibility of projects.
  • Ensure that the Hotel Manager and all departments in the hotel affected by, or could be affected by any projects are fully advised in writing giving notice appropriate to the circumstance.
  • Monitor the progress of any contract work and the keep on Hotel Manager fully briefed.
  • Organise daily and quarterly departmental staff briefings and job assignments for the department and ensure all HR and payroll documentation are kept updated and submitted in a timely manner.
  • To be actively on calls as and when required.
  • To take full responsibility for all training within the department, to identify needs, carry out and the recording of, for the department.
  • To carry out requisite appraisals for all line staff. Regularly review the progress of each staff member by way of job chats and appraisals and documenting such events.
  • Enforce the Hotels discipline and grievance procedures as set out in the Hotels staff handbook as and when required to do so.

Requirements: At least two years’ experience in general maintenance or other maintenance responsibilities that would include the ability to recognize electrical, plumbing, and mechanical malfunctions or equipment failures.

Casual Therapists

We are currently looking for Therapists on a casual basis, mainly to cover weekends but also some weekday shifts between 10am and 6pm.


To be considered you must hold an NVQ2 and 3 or equivalent in beauty therapy, have excellent customer care skills and the ability to work shifts often at short notice.


You must also have at least 2 years’ experience working in the industry.

Stapleford Park Hotel is looking for a Receptionist (including occasional Porter duties) on a Casual basis.


The Receptionist is responsible for ensuring that a warm and professional welcome is provided to all our guests, first time, on time, every time. The Receptionist will ensure a consistently high quality of service to all guests and support other members of the front desk team and draw on previous customer facing experience to achieve service and revenue targets. An able communicator, the Receptionist must be able to demonstrate their ability to converse with a wide variety of guests and colleagues at all levels, therefore a high standards of literacy, numeracy and computer systems are also essential. The Receptionist must be able to demonstrate their immaculate presentation standards and attention to detail at all times.


Duties will include; check in and out of guests including rooming of guests; effective reservation & event enquiry handling; collating guest service feedback; giving, transporting staff to and from work; housekeeping tasks as required; receiving and handover of information; accurate billing and posting of revenue; effective general enquiry handling from guests and colleagues.


We would prefer applicants to have a working knowledge of a computerised hotel management system, preferably Opera, however training will be provided to the right candidate.


Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK. Please note there is no live-in accommodation available at this property.

We are currently seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor...


As Food & Beverage Supervisor you will need to have a good ability for forward planning, motivating and supervising a team of people to perform to the best possible standard and provide an exceptional level of service. A friendly and outgoing personality and have previous experience of working within a luxury environment and an award-winning restaurant.


You will assist the departmental manager with the day-to-day running of the F&B operation, controlling any assigned operational area to the highest standards, in keeping with departmental policy and procedures. Ongoing training is offered with the role and you will be trained on food/wine combinations and the intricate side of food and wine.
