GOLFERS DRIVEN BATTY BY NEW HANGING TENANTS

Stapleford Park Country House Hotel golfers were itching to use the new indoor golf simulators at Stapleford’s golf course are being driven batty by some sitting tenants. The simulators are being installed in a wooden building but as conversion work began it was discovered the building is home to a colony of brown, long-eared bats. Experts were called in to find out how many of the bats have moved in.

Stapleford Park’s professional golfer, Richard Alderson, had been hoping to have the indoor simulators up and running but it will be some time in August now. He stated “the bats are a protected species and Stapleford Park is very keen to play a part in helping to preserve this endangered species”. The building is near the practice putting green and driving range just a few yards from the thatched clubhouse.
