Stapleford Park participated in the world's largest coffee morning on 27th September to raise donations for MacMillan Cancer Support.

Stapleford and guests raised £308.78 for the charity. Dozens of people enjoyed coffee and delicious cupcakes upstairs at The Pavilion at Stapleford Park Country House Hotel, as part of the Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning event.

All those who attended had a choice of coffee or tea plus a colourful range of tasty cupcakes which had been made on the premises. The hotel’s marketing co-ordinator Amanda Glover said: “It has been a successful morning and it was nice to see so many people come down and contribute to the cause.”

Several members of Stapleford Park’s staff also took the opportunity to go along and enjoy a coffee and a cake to support the event.

The hotel’s manager Angelina Chua said: “It is the first time we have done something like this at the hotel but we have many generous members who have donated. One mystery member even donated £50.

“There will always be a time when someone close to us is affected by cancer. We are only too happy to help to further awareness and support people who are researching into cures for this disease or those who may be affected by it.” she added.
