THE STAPLEFORD PARK POLO INVITATIONAL
A crowd of over 300 privately invited guests gathered to watch the Ruddles Trophy 2009 on a sunny Bank Holiday Monday at the Rutland Polo Club. Cheered on by a home crowd, Stapleford Park (captained by Shuif Hussain) won a thrilling final against Santa Paz, 9-6. Commentary by the Australian team captain, Glen Gilmore, meant the claps – and laughs – came in all the right places. A Harrods hamper was the eagerly claimed first prize for the Prince’s Trust raffle.
