Stapleford Park Country House Hotel will be hosting a superb Christmas event on December 21st, which is not to be missed. BBC East Midlands Today's Anne Davies and well-known speaker and historian Caroline Aston will be presenting their take on the Victorian Christmas - music, mirth and mince pies! Get in the mood for a 21st century Christmas by travelling back in time to the mid 1800's. Taste a cocktail of Charles Dickens, Mrs Beeton, right royal revelations and timeless traditions. Find out why you have the Victorians to blame for the stress you are now experiencing as the festive season approaches. Turn up, tune in and have a glittering, truly glittering, verbal aperitif to prepare you for looming Yuletide.
Enjoy champagne beside the Christmas tree to set the mood before sitting down for a sumptuous Victorian dinner in the recently refurbished Grinling Gibbons dining room.
