Members' Christmas Lunch

To celebrate the festive season, Stapleford Park will be hosting an indulgent afternoon, filled with festive carols and joyous company.

The afternoon will commence at 12.30 p.m. in the Saloon, with a Champagne reception, where you can mingle with fellow members, choose from a selection of enticing canapés and listen to carols sung by the Sicilian Singers.

Later in the afternoon, you will be invited into the Grinling Gibbons to experience a bespoke, three-course Christmas lunch which has been created by our new Head Chef Anthony Fitt.

Victorian Christmas – Rockingham

It's Christmas Eve 1849 and excitement ripples through the Castle. The trees are decorated, the silver is shining in the Great Hall, the kitchen is smelling delicious and the gifts are nestled beneath candlelit boughs. The Watson family are celebrating and their servants are stealing a moment to take you around the Castle in all its festive glory. Will you meet the butler at the door or a footman lighting candles for dinner? Will the housekeeper be sewing last minute gifts in the Panel Room or perhaps the governess will be tidying away toys in the Long Gallery? The pianist could be warming up to entertain the family for the evening and just maybe you’ll find a group of carol singers in the fairy light bedecked courtyard. Come and experience the magic of Christmas in this unique setting sure to get all the family in the mood for festive fun.

Uppingham Live Fatstock Show

Champion pigs, sheep and cattle are primped and preened for this event held in the Market Square. Rutland farmers proudly showed off the best of their stock with the aim of encouraging people to buy British and support the industry.
