house and 500 acres of stunning parkland, with £5 of the £20 donated to Breast Cancer Care.
The presentation was made at Stapleford Park to Gill Hilton, Breast Cancer Care Volunteer.
Gill Hilton, commented: “I have been a Breast Cancer Care volunteer for 3 years now. All volunteers must have been through breast cancer themselves – I was diagnosed 5 years ago. Breast Cancer Care puts all volunteers through ongoing training and support programmes to ensure the volunteer has all the information and experience required to help breast cancer sufferers. Support is mainly done over the telephone but the charity also organises special advice days on key topics such as healthy lifestyle and medicines which are invaluable to ladies going through breast cancer treatment.”
“The pink afternoon tea offering was a lovely idea – people are raising money through their enjoyment.”
Philip Newman-Hall, Hotel General Manager of Stapleford Park, commented: “We were delighted to support a very worthwhile cause whilst also offering our valued customers a unique and truly enjoyable experience. The local significance of the afternoon tea tradition seemed the perfect match for Stapleford Park’s historical stately home and countryside”.
