Crabtree & Evelyn – visit website
Designed by Crabtree and Evelyn, famous for their bathroom toiletries. This is the most photographed room in the house. Over 200 pictures on the walls! Enjoy the impressive trompe d'oeil in the bathroom; the abundance of Crabtree and Evelyn products and the period vases, jugs and bowls which together with tapestry cushions and kelims add the finishing floral touches.
Designed by David Hicks, this dramatic room with a barrel shaped ceiling has been hand painted to match the natural stone of the windows. The bed in the centre of the room has striped drapes that fall to each corner.
Deep red walls provide a perfect backdrop for the fine selection of Flemish tapestries, with double aspect views over the grounds.
Formerly Lady Gretton's Bedroom this room was designed by Annie Charlton and reflects the graceful, historical style of the room as it might have been in the 1890's. Connects with Zoffany.
Contemporary style in an old Victorian room with fabulous views over the park and lake. The deep yellow and light tomato red furnishings of this popular room are enhanced by the sunshine that suffuses this room from the early morning. Connects with Lady Gretton.
