Church
St Mary Magdalene’s Church is a Grade 1 listed church on the grounds of Stapleford Park, dating back to the 18th century. It was designed by George Richardson for Robert Sherard, 4th Earl of Harborough, replacing an earlier church on the site, and functioned as the Sherard family estate church as well as a parish church. Today, it is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust and is open to the public. Although no longer in regular use, the church can be hired out for the all-important blessings by a member of clergy. The oak pews facing out to the aisle make it popular as guests have the perfect view of the bride as she walks down the aisle.
Clay pigeon shooting
The experience includes 50 clays, or one hour of tuition (whichever goes faster), gun hire, cartridges, traps and full supervision. If it should be damp underfoot you may wish to make use of the Wellington boots and jackets available at the front door. Please book in advance and additional charges apply. More information.
