The golf course wraps around the heart of the parkland in two extended loops, never being more than two holes wide, making it unusually spacious and peaceful. This configuration is reminiscent of the great links courses, such as the Old Course at St Andrews, as it provides continuing variety in the direction of the holes, as well as producing a series of stunning views.
The course has twice hosted European Senior tour events and can truly be referred to as a championship course.
With greens and tees maintained to the highest standards, members and guests can play the course throughout the year. There are no temporary greens or tees in the winter as the course drains exceptionally well.
“This quintessential English golfing experience within a Capability Brown landscape, will enthrall golfers from all over the world. Stapleford Park is an enchanting place, there are fewer nicer places to play golf.”
The course has recently been re-rated and now has a standard scratch of 75 (white tees) reflecting the challenge of this true championship course.
The driving range is almost 300 yards long with a number of flags to aim at. Tokens for the driving range are available at the Golf Pavilion.
Putting Green and Practise Bunker
A putting green in excess of 30 yards long is set just behind the driving range. Also alongside the range is a practice bunker.
These facilities are adjacent to the 1st Tee.
Short Game Area
A short game area where shots up to 70 yards can be hit, is situated adjacent to the 10th Tee. Bring your own balls.
