Rutland and Melton CiCle Classic Event
On Sunday 22nd April the Rutland and Melton CiCle Classic Event will be taking place in Melton Mowbray and Rutland. As a result of this Stapleford Park are expecting temporary traffic restriction orders around Stapleford Park between 8am and 5pm. These should last approximately 20 minutes at a time.
Full road closures around Oakham and Melton will be as follows:
- 8am to 5pm - Sherrard Street, Melton Mowbray, from its junction with Sage Cross Street to its junction with Burton Street.
- 9am to 12.30pm - High Street, Oakham, from its junction with Church Street and Burley Road.
- 10.45am to 11.45am - All inbound traffic towards Oakham from Stamford direction on the A606 will be subject to a diversion along Rutland Water South Shore via Edith Weston and Manton. Similarly, the A5003, Oakham to Manton Top road will between the same times be subject to periodic full closure.
- 2.30pm to 4pm - Thorpe End, Melton Mowbray and Saxby Road (B676), from Stapleford Lane to its junction with Norman Way.

By Air
Stapleford is located within easy reach of several international and regional airports. The airports have excellent rail links to the stations at Grantham and Melton Mowbray, both of which are convenient for Stapleford Park. Transfers can be arranged with Reception, this will incur a charge.
Approximate travel time from local airports by car:
- East Midlands Airport: 45 minutes
- Birmingham Airport: 90 minutes
- London Luton: 90 minutes
- Heathrow, Stansted and Manchester Airports: 120 minutes

We have a helicopter landing pad in the grounds, just north of the house.

By Rail
Reach us by rail, taking a train to Grantham (approximately 20 miles from Stapleford Park) or to local stations Melton Mowbray and Oakham, both just 5 miles from Stapleford Park.
From London Kings Cross: Departing hourly and taking just over 60 minutes to reach Grantham. Collection from Grantham Station directly to the hotel can be arranged, this will incur a charge.
From London St Pancras or Kings Cross: Change at Peterborough or Leicester and arrive at one of our local stations, Melton Mowbray or Oakham. There is also a new commuter train service direct to London from Oakham.

By Road
From the South: Take the A1 north towards Grantham (approximately 90 miles). Leave the A1 on to the B676 sign posted Colsterworth and Melton Mowbray. Drive about 9 miles, through the village of Saxby, then turn left at the signpost to Stapleford.
Alternatively, you may wish to travel from the south on the M1: Take junction 21A, signposted A46 Leicester and Newark, and on to the A607 Melton Mowbray.
From Melton Mowbray: Follow the ring road A607 and signs for Grantham, stay in the right hand lane until the Grantham road turns left, you should now be in the centre lane. Drive straight across the traffic lights, following the signs for the B676 to Colsterworth and Stapleford. After 4 miles turn right at the signpost to Stapleford. We are situated approximately 200 yards on the left hand side.
From Heathrow: Follow the M25 past the M1 to the A1 north. See above.
From the North (M1): Travelling down from the north, leave the M1 at junction 24, through Kegworth on the A6, then following A6006 to Melton Mowbray.
From Birmingham and Environs: Take the M42 north, junction 7, and join the M6 heading east towards Coventry. At junction 2 take the M69 towards Leicester. Join the M1 for one junction and leave at junction 21A, sign posted A46 Leicester and Newark, and on to the A607 Melton Mowbray.
